### About the Role
Field operations are supported by Merchandisers as part of the PnS Group Learnership programme, the most significant part of the role. The majority of retail execution is said to be handled by Merchandisers, and this role truly embodies that. You will be responsible for ensuring that the products of your clients are efficiently stocked, is merchandising, and ultimately, is selling to the thousands of customers who visit a given retail or wholesale store.
You will work on a structured route plan to visit stores each day to perform sales and merchandising functions including restocking shelves, adjusting stock to meet demand, setting up promotional displays, and ensuring product placement complies with planograms. In addition, you will influence customers’ interaction with products in the store, and help to increase sales and the visibility of the brand.

Participants in the PnS Group Merchandiser Learnership Program are not required to have any work experience, as this is an entry-level position; however, applicants must possess a Grade 12 certificate and a National Certificate in Wholesale and Retail Operations – Merchandising or an equivalent qualification.
Moreover, this role encompasses training in customer service, basic sales, and the principles of merchandising, planning, self-management, and other related areas. Experience as rudimentary as a year in any of these areas will be considered an asset, but the absence of this experience will not be a hindrance to recruitment.
