The CTFL Learnership is also known as the National Certificate: Clothing, Textile, Footwear & Leather Manufacturing Processes. CTFL Learnership is presented to help young South Africans get access to employment. Manufacturing in the CTFL industry is one of South Africa’s largest employment sectors which includes youth and specifically women. This is a good sector for young South Africans to pursue employment.
To equip learners for the various challenges real life manufacturing environments present, the learnership combines theoretical studies with practical training in real manufacturing environments which include factories, workshops, and production units. This learnership offers young South Africans a chance to build a sustainable career in a sector that requires not only technical skills but also creativity.

The CTFL Learnership offers its participants the benefit of being trained with a blend of theory and practical experience. By the end of the program, learners acquire teachable skills that are relevant to the needs of the industry, including:

**Operation of Industrial Sewing Machines**
Gain the necessary skills to use industrial sewing machines that are used in the clothing and textile industry.
**Textile Knowledge**
Understanding of different fabric, thread, and finish types, as well as quality control.

Understanding of the basics of leather cutting, stitching, assembly, and finishing of products.

Minimum Entry Requirements
Your application must meet the following requirements:
* Completed Grade 12 (Matric)
* Age must be between 18 and 35 years
* Must be a South African citizen
* Must live in Pretoria
* Must have some interest or experience with sewing, clothing design or textiles.

* A detailed CV
* A certified copy of your ID (not older than 3 months)
* Copy of your Matric certificate
* Evidence of where you live
