The Ulearn Academy Information Technology Learnership Programme 2026 allows individuals to gain both a theoretical and a practical comprehension of the workplace environment. The Learnership is scheduled to begin on the 1st of March in 2026 and is scheduled to end on the 28th of February in 2027. It is a fully immersive experience where learners will participate in training and development for a period of 1 full year. During the Learnership, the students will gain the required practical exposure to the Information Technology field, while refining the essential, professional and technical skills needed to thrive in the world of work.
Programme Overview
The Learnership Programme in Information Technology aims to equip participants with the required skills to operate within the realm of computer systems and direct participants to issues that require diagnostic and technical resolution, the use of specific software applications, and to direct participants in developing the required skills to effectively communicate in a work-related environment. The participants will also develop and practice the required skills to advance their professional and technical competencies.
This Programme is ideal for participants who have completed the Computer Applications Technology (CAT) course in high school. CAT is also the base requirement for this Learnership. Because it is expected that participants will have a grasp of computer skills, software applications, and systems.
Minimum Requirements
The Ulearn Academy Information Technology Learnership Programme 2026 has the following requirements:
Completed Matric
Studied Computer Applications Technology (CAT) in Matric.
EE (Employment Equity) candidate.
Available for the full duration of the programme (01 March 2026 – 28 February 2027)
It should be noted that being a CAT candidate is essential. Candidates who do not have Computer Applications Technology on their Matric certificate will be disregarded.

Rest assured, applying does not guarantee you a spot in the program. Only the facilitator will do a complete vetting process prior to the final selection. Only those who pass this vetting process will be chosen. The chosen ones must meet the program standards, and expectations. So, not everyone who passes this vetting process will be chosen.
Furthermore, only EE candidates can be considered for this learnership opportunity.
The program has an IT component where most of the employees will be from EE (Employment Equity).
