SBV Services is the cash management and security solutions company dominating the South African market, and we intend to create a new opportunity for young adults with disabilities. We are located at SBV Services Kempton Park, and we offer a 12 (twelve) month learnership, which aims to provide participants with practical knowledge, workplace exposure, and experience in the cash processing industry.
The learnership aims to provide practical experience and to address the issue of youth unemployment. A big aim of this programme is to place young South Africans within corporate South Afria to provide them with the various skills and knowledge.
About the YES Learnership Programme
The YES initiative is a SBV Services cash management and security solutions provider programme. Junior YES participants will receive a placement as part of the learnership to assist them in gaining the necessary skills to become a fully functioning employee and to build the capacity of the Junior YES Participants.
The role of Cash Processor Contractor at Kempton Park provides learners with exposure to operational systems in an environment where security and regulation are at the forefront. Participants will learn cash handling, processing, compliance and operational efficiency, as well as workplace competencies that further employability prospects.
Key Competencies Required
With this opportunity, we expect applicants to exhibit several of the above competencies that will enable an individual to work within an environment that is fast-paced and requires attention to detail.
Analytical and Critical Thinking
In the cash processing environment, attention and understanding of the impact of decision-making are important. Participants will need to be precise in following the processes. Participants will need to be alert to the presence of operational gaps and the risks that may be present.
Communication Skills (Verbal, Non-verbal and Written)
In every workplace, the ability to communicate in a professional to employees, managers, and customers is a vital requirement. Therefore, the successful candidates will need to liaise with all employees and managers in the organization. Additionally, participants are expected to listen and follow instructions, and to communicate in writing.
Time management is critical in today\’s operational environment. Employees are expected to plan, organize, and execute their duties. With good time management, one can ensure good operational performance and will aid in maximizing operational performance.
Social Intelligence and Relationship Management
Teamwork involves a lot of collaboration and interaction with your colleagues in a professional manner. Positive relationships often stem from the ability to integrate and cooperate with others. Your ability to appreciate and respect other people’s ideas and contributions is of great value.
Resource and Assignment Coordination
Some understanding of resource coordination and operational management is needed. This includes planning of daily activities, organization of resource, and the productivity of the unit overall. Learners are expected to be accountable to their roles and to aid the overall unit success.
Risk and Control Management
Risk management and identification in the cash processing industry are extremely important. Are you familiar with the risks? Are you aware of the risk control measures and procedures to reduce risk? If you answered yes, then you are an ideal candidate.
Quality Control
Quality is a key aspect of the industry, and so is your commitment to it, alongside legislation, organizational standards, and other internal policies. Attention to detail combined with the will to improve is needed to maintain service excellence and a high level of accuracy.
Minimum Requirements
The following criteria must be met in order to qualify for the SBV Cash Processor Contractor YES Learnership in Kempton Park:
– You must be a South African citizen.
– You must be 29 years or younger at the start of the contract.
– You must have completed Grade 12, (with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy).
– You must be a disabled person, and support documentation is required.
– You must be able to commit to an entire 12-month contract.
