All learners that successfully complete this Programme will receive a certificate confirming their participation in a formal learnership. To further the company’s commitment towards uplifting and empowering previously disadvantaged South African citizens by giving them the opportunity to be a part of the South African economy, potential beneficiaries must have a National Senior Certificate (Matric).
Objective of the Learnership
This Programme aims to provide Learners with Disabilities the granted opportunity to develop their theoretical and technical skills in a Work Integration Learning (WIL) Programme. This is to aid the learners in obtaining the foremost necessary skills, and competencies to get them ready to participate in and be a part of the corporate culture.
This Programme will last 12 months. This will also include placements at the various operational areas of Adcock Ingram. The placements will be organized in such a way that each learner will be given the chance to work in real-life corporate situations so that at the end of the programme comprehensive “real-life” experience is obtained. Each learner will be supported and guided in their work tasks, by individuals that are professionals. The learners will participate in the forefront of corporate activities, and this will occur in various locations of Adcock Ingram.
This initiative is not simply about getting people jobs; it is about giving people the tools they need to provide for themselves. Adcock Ingram equips individuals with valuable skills, experience, and confidence to give them the best prospects for employment and for building sustainable careers after their learnership is completed.
Who Should Apply
South African youth who qualify can apply for the program. The additional criteria are as follows:
* You must be aged between 18 and 35 years
* You must have a Matric certificate
* You must have a certificate of disability
* Any other degree or certificate is considered an advantage.
Along with your application, you need to provide a copy of your ID, proof of disability, and Matric or other relevant qualifications. These documents are part of the assessment and verification process.
Skills and Competencies
Adcock Ingram is looking for new employees who are passionate and driven to learn and advance. The main core competencies required include:
Fundamental knowledge of computer applications, especially the MS Office Suite Basic knowledge of computer applications, especially the MS Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication along with strong presentation skills
Ability to work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work under minimal supervision, and be an active member of the team
Ability to be self-directed, and show a strong sense of responsibility
Possession of remarkable self-initiated effort, and the ability to take initiative
Web design and content creation offer a considerable advantage. In addition, an exceptional portfolio showcasing successful project management or comparable accomplishments is also a considerable advantage. For learners to be able to quickly acclimatize to the working world and the change, they must possess the aforementioned attributes.

Adcock Ingram Holdings Limited is fully compliant with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) 4 of 2013, and is fully committed to privacy and data protection. Personal information may be obtained during the application process for recruitment purposes, which include but are not limited to, background checks, reference checks, and evaluation.
The Human Capital Department will store applicants’ personal information. For unsuccessful applications, personal information will be kept for a maximum of 12 months from the closing date of the recruitment process.
