Job Title: Resort Receptionist

Employment Type: Full-Time (Shifts required: weekdays, weekends & holidays)

Monthly Salary: R7,000 – R10,000 depending on experience
Monthly Stipend (Training): R4,000 – R6,000 (if inexperienced)

✨ Key Responsibilities

As our Resort Receptionist, you will:

  • Welcome guests with a warm and professional attitude

  • Manage check-in and check-out procedures

  • Handle telephone, email, and online booking inquiries

  • Process guest payments, refunds, and issue receipts

  • Maintain guest records and update the reservations system

  • Assist with guest requests, complaints, and information

  • Upsell resort services including spa treatments, game drives, or restaurant bookings

  • Ensure the front desk and lobby area remain tidy and presentable

  • Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management for a seamless guest experience

βœ… What You’ll Need to Qualify

We are looking for a reliable, professional, and motivated individual with the following:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12)

  • At least 6–12 months of experience in reception, admin, or front-desk work (hospitality preferred)

  • Good spoken and written English

  • Basic computer skills – email, MS Office, and booking systems

  • Punctual, presentable, and respectful attitude

  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy resort environment

Advantageous (but not required):

  • Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, or Customer Service

  • Experience using hotel reservation systems (e.g. NightsBridge, Cloudbeds, Opera)

  • Additional languages: Afrikaans, SiSwati, Zulu, or Portuguese

  • Knowledge of local tourist attractions and culture

The work is mostly indoors, with occasional walking to nearby guest areas or event spaces. Uniforms and training are provided.
