In every fully functioning warehouse, there are certain essential support roles that need to be filled. Employees in support roles help with stock control, the safe storage of goods, and the movement of materials. Warehouse support roles are the backbone of every supply chain and logistics process. Without them, goods would not be received, stored, or dispatched.

Job Duties
AfriSAM Warehouse Attendants will be expected to:
Help with the receipt of new stock
Ensure materials are stored and organized correctly
Prepare stock for dispatch
Safely and efficiently load and unload stock
Use warehouse equipment like forklifts
Keep the warehouse clean and safe
Obey the company’s safety rules, procedures, and policies
These duties will require fitness as the nature of warehouse work is very physically demanding. They will also require concentration and accountability as they will directly impact the satisfaction of customers and the productivity of the warehouse.
Job Requirements
As part of its effort to be as professional, yet as accessible as possible, AfriSAM has established clear minimum requirements for the position. All applicants must fulfill the following:
Completion of Grade 12, or have a Matric
Have a Forklift Driver’s License
Possessing a forklift license is critical as it shows an employee’s ability to safely drive equipment that is used daily in a warehouse. Candidates that already have this license will likely be able to start work sooner, as they would need less training.
